$250K Complaint Against VCS Advisor Andrew Pesner

UBS Advisor Lands $1mm Investor Complaint

Andrew Pesner, a financial advisor based in Hauppage, New York, recently found himself at the center of an investor complaint alleging advice-induced damages exceeding $250,000. With a lengthy career spanning 33 years, Pesner’s professional history is steeped in the financial services sector. Currently affiliated with VCS Venture Services, his former engagements include associations with Joseph Stone Capital amongst others.

A Stack of Investor Complaints

Pesner’s record, as retained within the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s (FINRA) system, reveals several instances of investor grievances. The most acute of these was lodged back in September 2023, stating that Pesner, as a representative for Joseph Stone Capital and VCS Venture Services, advised on inappropriate over-the-counter equity stakes and was remiss in his responsibility.

Subsequently, an ensuing contention indicated damages to the tune of $295,531.50. This latest grievance is currently pending resolution.

Moreover, an indictment from 2003 cites Pesner for making unauthorized as well as unsuitable trades while representing Milestone Financial Services. The 2004 resolution to this case resulted in a $23,500 settlement.

Numerous other complaints have trailed Pesner throughout his career. In 1997, he was denounced for contract breach, negligence, and failure to uphold the fiduciary duty during his stint at First Asset Management. The case was closed with a $50,000 settlement agreement the following year.

In 1996, yet another investor allegation was filed against Pesner in his capacity as a representative for Chatfield Dean & Company. The charges revolved around endorsement of ill-suited investments, misinformation, lack of supervisory responsibility, and breaching fiduciary duty. An ensuing settlement in 1997 cost a hefty sum of $125,000.
