CHRISTOPHER R. BLACK (a/k/a CHRIS BLACK), FINRA CRD #2186558 is registered with UBS Financial Services Inc. in Houston, TX since November 2015. Haselkorn and Thibaut are currently investigating the sales practices of Chris Black. According to Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Brokercheck, Chris Black discloses a September 2019 customer dispute alleging damages of $1 million related to issues of unsuitability and misrepresentation related to an options overlay strategy. That matter remains pending (as of June 2020).

In October 2019, Chris Black discloses a customer dispute alleging $1.2 million in damages based on allegations of unsuitability and misrepresentation related to an options overlay strategy. That matter remains pending as of June 2020.

In April 2020, Chris Black discloses a customer dispute also alleging $1.2 million in damages alleging unsuitability and misrepresentation with respect to an options overlay strategy. That matter also remains pending (as of June 2020).

Many investors have incurred unnecessary losses associated with the investment strategy at UBS “Yield Enhancement Strategy” (YES). The program is a complex short-option/short strategy to generate income.

The UBS YES investment strategy was marketed to high net-worth clients whose primary overall investment objective was the safety of principal, income, or whose risk tolerance was low. Unfortunately, the strategy was very risky resulting in substantial losses.

Investors Seeking to Recover UBS YES Losses

For many investors, a private customer arbitration dispute through FINRA enables them to bring a claim and potentially recover their investment losses. These types of disputes generally involve only paper discovery and are usually faster and more efficient compared to traditional court litigation.

Haselkorn & Thibaut has reason to believe that over 600 households were invested by UBS into the YES program. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of those households have sought to recoup their investment losses to date.

Haselkorn and Thibaut (InvestmentFraudLawyers.com) is a national law firm specializing in handling investment fraud and arbitration cases. The investor law firm has offices in Florida, New York, Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina. The two founding partners have nearly 45 years of legal experience and a 95% win rate.
