Jason S. Haselkorn — Partner, Securities Arbitration & Investment Litigation

Jason Haselkorn

Partner | Securities Arbitration · Investment Litigation · Employment Litigation

Jason Haselkorn concentrates his practice in securities arbitration, investment litigation, and employment litigation. With over 30 years of experience — including years working inside the financial services industry — Jason represents individual investors in large arbitration and complex litigation matters across the country.

What sets Jason apart is not just his track record of results. It is the fact that he has seen these cases from both sides. Before representing investors, Jason defended some of the largest financial services firms in the world. He worked in the financial services industry as a registered representative. He served as General Counsel for a regional broker-dealer and SEC-registered investment advisory firm. He has been in the rooms where Wall Street firms build their defenses — and he uses that knowledge to dismantle them.

Insider Experience That Changes Outcomes

Jason’s career path gives him a perspective most investor-advocacy attorneys simply do not have:

Inside the industry:

  • Worked as a registered representative in the financial services industry — he understands how brokers operate, how products are sold, and how suitability obligations are supposed to work
  • Served in the legal department of a major broker-dealer firm — he knows how firms internally handle complaints, supervise advisors, and manage regulatory risk
  • Acted as General Counsel for a regional broker-dealer and SEC-registered investment advisory firm — he has reviewed compliance failures from the inside and understands the obligations firms owe their clients

On both sides of the arbitration table:

  • Defended large financial institutions in major securities arbitration and litigation matters
  • Represented individual investors in hundreds of cases since forming Haselkorn & Thibaut
  • Tried and settled cases on both sides — giving him a complete picture of how these matters unfold, from investigation through final hearing

This dual experience means Jason can anticipate the other side’s strategy before they deploy it. He knows where Wall Street firms cut corners, how they evaluate risk, and what makes them settle — because he has been in those internal meetings.

A Record Built on Thorough Investigation and Aggressive Strategy

Jason does not take every case. He takes cases he believes in — and then investigates them thoroughly, develops an aggressive strategy, and pursues full and fair recovery from day one.

Representative matters:

  • Family trust defrauded of nearly 90% of assets — After a trusted financial advisor defrauded a family’s charitable trust, Jason led the investigation and strategy that recovered several million dollars in investable assets
  • Ponzi scheme inheritance recovery — A family’s entire inheritance was invested in what turned out to be a fraudulent Ponzi scheme masquerading as a municipal bond fund. Jason achieved a multimillion-dollar recovery
  • Five times the mediation offer — After taking over a case from another attorney who had been outgunned by a Wall Street firm’s New York lawyers, Jason’s new strategy produced a recovery more than five times the original settlement offer
  • $1.28 million FINRA arbitration award against Fidelity — Representing investors in structured note losses, Jason secured a substantial compensatory damages award through FINRA arbitration

Each case is unique. Results vary based on specific facts, evidence, and damages. These examples do not guarantee any particular outcome in another case.

Leadership and Community Service

Jason’s commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom:

  • Mayor of Juno Beach, Florida — Elected to the Town Council in March 2014 and has served as Mayor since March 2016
  • Board officer, religious organization — Active in community and faith-based leadership
  • Board of Trustees, music scholarship charity — Serves on the board of a multi-generational charitable organization that awards music scholarships to students
  • Published author and speaker — Quoted in national publications including Forbes, and in regional publications including the Palm Beach Post and Palm Beach Daily News; frequent speaker on securities arbitration and investor protection
